A plate heat exchanger is a device used to transfer heat between two liquids or gases without mixing them. It consists of a set of corrugated metal plates interspersed with small channels for the fluid to pass through.

• Plate heat exchanger components:

1.  Plates:  Usually made of stainless steel, they are corrugated to increase surface area and allow efficient fluid flow.
2.  Gaskets: Placed between the plates to prevent leakage and direct fluid flow.
3.  Frame: Supports the plates and keeps them together.
4.  Inlet and outlet ports
